Branch/Area Manager

We are actively hiring dynamic leaders to grow our footprint in the Southern California markets. The ideal candidate would be an individual with a minimum of 4 years in a management role with the ability to manage a P&L, possess strong skills in recruiting and developing young talent, manage existing relationships and seek new ones. The candidate must demonstrate their ability to profitably expand HouseAmerica’s market share and visibility in Southern California.

Current needs are for Los Angeles County and Inland Empire

Processor

Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities reviewing and verifying loan documents including income, credit, appraisal, title insurance, etc., and ensuring the information is complete, accurate and complies with company policies as well as meets underwriters’ requirements. Other duties include entering information into Encompass, following up and communicating with loan officers and transaction coordinators to obtain missing or updated documentation in order to process the mortgage loan file in a timely manner. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple people, multitask, work in a team environment, and manage an assigned pipeline in order to meet
closing expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Process FHA, VA, Conventional, Home Equity Lines of Credit, 2nd Mortgages, Home Improvement loans, as well as Jumbo Loans and Non-QM.
– Accurately calculate income for all types of borrowers, following investor-specific guidelines, when applicable
– Communicate clearly and effectively with loan agents, transaction coordinators, and third parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction.
– Request, review and verify all loan documents such as income, credit, appraisal and title insurance, to ensure complete and accurate information is in the file before it is sent to underwriting.
– Obtain verification of deposit, verification of employment, credit report
– Prioritize and monitor daily workflow in order to ensure all loans are being worked on in accordance with company’s timeline expectations.
– Maintain constant communication with loan agents and other team members on status updates and/or changes to the loan.
– Ensure any necessary and critical changes which require redisclosure have been accurately notated and checked in the loan origination system for compliance purposes.
– Coordinate loan closing with title companies, and loan agents.
– Work additional hours as needed.
– Other duties may be assigned.

Desired Competencies:
– Experience with Encompass LOS.
– Demonstrate advanced product knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional and other loan programs such as Home Ready or Home Possible.
– Equity Lines of Credit, 2nd Mortgages and Home Improvement loan.
– Demonstrate working knowledge of federal and state guidelines, rules and regulations such as TRID.
– Advanced ability to analyze complex tax returns and accurately calculate income for all types of borrowers.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desired Education/Experience:
– 3-5 years’ experience processing mortgage loans.
– Current experience processing purchase loans.
– Experience with Jumbo, Non-Agency, and Non-QM Loans.
– Understanding of all compliance regulations and investor guidelines.

Compensation: Base: $60,000 | Bonus: $100 Per file bonus

Sr. Underwriter

Position Summary:
The Underwriter reviews documentation, including 1003, credit reports, income and assets, and property documentation in accordance to agency, non-agency, delegated and non-delegated underwriting guidelines. The Underwriter will make the final loan decision on delegated loans. They will review specific guidelines to ensure that each loan risk is properly managed on a loan-by-loan basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Underwrite loan files to agency, non-agency, delegated and non-delegated guidelines
– Review credit report, applications, etc. to ensure that each loan meets company standard
– Evaluate income documentation to determine acceptable risk of an applicant based on analysis of W2’s, pay stubs, personal and business tax returns
– Utilize expertise and underwriting knowledge to render sound, common sense decisions based on analysis of loan parameters and documentation
– Ensure that the validation of AUS information is accurate
– Communicate with Underwriting Manager to advise of any sales processing issues
– Maintain excellent customer service skills, enhancing the customer service experience with all internal and external customers

Desired Skills/Experience:
– Proficiency with Encompass is a MUST
– ‘Front-line’ underwriting experience over past 5 years
– Proficient in Conventional/Agency guidelines. Jumbo and Government knowledge is a plus

Compensation: Base: $110,000 – $125,000 depending upon experience

Transaction Coordinator

Primary Functions:
– Assist loan officer(s) with taking loan applications and gathering borrower documentation.
– Creating loan folders within Encompass system, and entering all loan data and documentation.
– Track all outstanding items on all files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary documentation.
– Facilitate the closing of loans in a timely manner, including communication with agents, borrowers, escrow/title, loan officer, processor etc.
– Assist loan officers with the preparation and distribution of Thank You cards and/or other forms of marketing materials.
– Perform other supportive and/or administrative tasks as requested.

Qualifications:
– A minimum of two years’ experience as a loan officer, processor, loan officer assistant, or similar position preferred.
– Minimum 2 years’ experience with Encompass
– Basic understanding of Conventional underwriting guidelines and the residential mortgage loan process is preferred.
– Experience with data entry, strong attention to detail and organizational skills is a must.
– Proficiency with MS Office; Word and Excel.
– Some exposure to marketing and/or preparation of advertising materials.
– Excellent communication skills — phone, personal contact and written.
– Strong ability and desire to work with others, (both employees and customers) in a cooperative and professional manner.
– Must possess good judgment, be able to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
*This position does not require National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) licensing, but it is preferred

Mortgage Advisor

Position Summary:
We are looking for seasoned Mortgage Advisors with a track record of averaging a minimum of 20 fundings a year to originate and structure loans, calculate income, run DU/LP and handle a robust book of business

Requirements:
– Extraordinary focus on customer service and borrower experience
– 4+ years’ experience in mortgage origination preferred
– Experience with utilizing Encompass preferred
– Experience with Conventional, Jumbo, FHA and VA loans
– Complete understanding of investor guidelines from multiple investors
– Calculate W2 and 1099 Income including knowledge of Tax Returns — Business and Personal
– Complete understanding of the process of files from origination through to funding
