HouseAmerica Home Loans is seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant/ Processor to join our growing mortgage banking team. This role supports Loan Officers and our processing/underwriting pipeline, ensuring that every borrower receives smooth, accurate, and highly professional home-financing experience. This position is remote and would require you to be in the office on a full-time basis in La Canada, CA. · Base Salary + Per-File Bonus + Override on Volume Bonus
· Total Earnings Range: $75,000 – $120,000
· Additional earnings potential with personal loan production
Sales Support & Client Experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, realtors, and referral partners
- Assist loan officers with loan structuring, analyzing income and assets for prospective borrowers, facilitating with pre-approvals, pricing, and preparing files for submission
- Answer inquiries, provide status updates, and deliver best-in-class customer service to clients and realtors
- Review loan applications, disclosures, and supporting documents for accuracy
and completeness
- Collect, organize, and upload borrower documentation (income, assets,
employment, credit, etc.)
- Manage and order third-party services such as VOEs, VODs, appraisals, title,
and insurance
- Prepare files for underwriting and maintain compliance with guidelines and
internal policies
- Analyze income, financials, and credit documentation to identify discrepancies or
missing items
- Track, prioritize, and manage loan pipelines to ensure deadlines and closing
dates are met
- Work with underwriters to clear conditions and follow up with borrowers to obtain
required items
- Maintain accurate system notes and ensure that all documentation remains
compliant throughout the process
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in mortgage support roles (LOA, Processor,
Processor, or similar) required
- Strong understanding of mortgage products (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo)
- Experience with income calculations and reviewing financial documents is a
major plus
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to prioritize multiple
loan files
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Encompass experience preferred
- NMLS license preferred but not required
